Have You Ever . . .

Have you ever read a book and wondered why the main character bothers you but you can't figure out why? I just finished reading Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. Don't get me wrong I loved this book. It was incredibly well written and made me want to go to Paris. But there was just something wrong with Anna. I don't know what it was. I mean she broke out of her shell and became a stronger person. She met friends and decided that maybe her dad wasn't so bad. I liked that, but there was just something about this book that made me go hmmmm. I thought for sure it would be a book that I would study. And you all know you do it. You find a book that is so well written you make it your bible. You highlight paragraphs and using sticky notes to mark pages that you want to emulate. Has anyone else read this book? What did you think? I'm I the only one that feels this way, therefore there is something wrong with me. I don't know.

I've read it and really enjoyed it. I wasn't struck by anything with Anna. But be sure to let us know if you figure it out. If I read the book again, I'll look for that myself.

I finally figured it out. And it wasn't Anna who bothered me. It's St. Clair, for just being a boneheaded boy. Lol Of course it took me reading the book another two times to figure it out. So Stephanie Perkins did an amazing job of getting to my emotions.
